Golf
A location which needs no introduction, St Andrews is the Home of Golf, with the Old Course at St Andrews Golf Links being on every golf fanatics' bucket list. While the Old Course takes a lot of the limelight for golf breaks in St Andrews, the area is rich in quality courses. St Andrews Links Trust operates seven courses in St Andrews including The Old Course, Jubilee and New Courses.
In addition, Kingsbarns and Dumbarnie have quickly earned their place as two of Scotland's most prestigious courses and are a must play when in St Andrews. The Castle Course at St Andrews Links is the newest addition to the portfolio, offering spectacular views into the town and across St Andrews Bay

For further information on the courses in the area, please see below
The Castle CourseSituated on the east side of the town, THE CASTLE COURSE offers spectacular views of the famous old town of St Andrews. The Castle Course offers golfers an excellent alternative to playing the older, more traditional courses when visiting St Andrews | The Old CourseTHE OLD COURSE St Andrews is surely the Mecca of the golfing world. Golf has been played here for over six centuries on a course that wasn’t architect-designed, but rather has evolved over time out of the natural terrain | Kingsbarns Golf LinksSituated just six miles from St Andrews, KINGSBARNS is an excellent addition to the ancient links courses in this area. It's one of only a few true links courses to be built recently along Scotland’s coastline. Kingsbarns is a must play for any golfer staying in St Andrews |

Dumbarnie Golf LinksDUMBARNIE LINKS is located 11 miles directly south of St Andrews on the Fife coast with a mile and half sea frontage overlooking the Firth of Forth. This Clive Clark design golf course has a unique topography that climbs from the water’s edge to a high point of 80 feet above sea level. | The Jubilee CourseOriginally opened on Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897 and designed for ladies and children, THE JUBILEE Course underwent a re-design by Donald Steel in 1988 and is now reputed to be the toughest of the St Andrews links. | The New CourseDesigned by Old Tom Morris and opened in 1895, THE NEW COURSE is hardly a ‘new’ course! It is, in fact, a classic links course and a first-class golfing challenge. With the traditional out and back layout, the New is characterised by well-designed greenside and fairway bunkers, and tough homeward holes. |
